Terms of Service

Effective date: June 9, 2026

1. What Doctrine Legal is

Doctrine Legal operates a technology platform that connects Arizona residents with licensed Arizona attorneys for flat-fee legal document services (Chapter 7 bankruptcy, wills and estate documents, and uncontested divorce). Doctrine Legal has applied for an Arizona Alternative Business Structure (ABS) license under the framework established by Arizona Supreme Court Administrative Order R-20-0034; that license is currently pending. Until it is granted, all legal services available through this platform are delivered exclusively by Arizona-barred attorneys.

2. No attorney-client relationship from using this site

Browsing this site, reading its content, or submitting an intake or contact form does not create an attorney-client relationship. An attorney-client relationship is formed only when a licensed Arizona attorney engaged through our platform expressly agrees to handle your matter, typically through a written engagement. Content on this site is general information, not legal advice.

3. Eligibility and scope

  • Services are offered to Arizona residents only, for Arizona-law matters.
  • We do not handle contested litigation, court appearances, criminal defense, immigration, complex tax, or matters outside Arizona.
  • We may decline any matter that is not a fit for our service model, before attorney review begins, with a full refund of fees paid.

4. Fees, filing costs, and refunds

  • Our published prices are flat service fees that include attorney review. Court filing fees, where applicable, are charged at cost and disclosed before you pay.
  • Money-back guarantee: if we determine your matter is not a fit before attorney review begins, or the reviewing attorney declines to sign your documents for a substantive reason, your service fee is fully refunded.
  • Prices may change; the price shown when you commit to a service is the price you pay.

5. Your responsibilities

  • Provide accurate, complete, and truthful information. Legal documents prepared from inaccurate intake answers may be invalid or harmful to your interests.
  • Use the site only for lawful purposes and your own legal matters.
  • Do not submit automated, bulk, or fraudulent form submissions.

6. Intellectual property

The site, its content, branding, and software are owned by Doctrine Legal or its licensors. Documents prepared for you as part of a purchased service are yours to use for your matter.

7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The site is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, Doctrine Legal disclaims all warranties not expressly stated here, and our aggregate liability arising out of your use of the site or non-legal services is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. Nothing in this section limits the professional responsibility a licensed attorney owes you once engaged on your matter, or any liability that cannot be limited under Arizona law.

8. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of the site will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona.

9. Changes

We may update these terms as our services evolve (for example, when online payment launches). The effective date above reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.

10. Contact
